Strategy, design,
and product thinking—
backed by years of
doing the work.

Before Kennady Scott Co., I spent 13 years in education and EdTech — most recently directing publishing and product strategy for a national curriculum platform, and personally building several of the tools below along the way.

K–8 curriculum& instruction experience

Director-levelpublishing & product leadership

I'm usually brought in when an idea is valuable — but complicated, scattered, or difficult to communicate.

Find the throughline

I dig into the audience, problem, and why — so the strategy is rooted in what actually matters.

Design the experience

I shape information, brand, and interaction into clear, engaging experiences that build confidence.

Make it usable

I turn ideas into products and systems that are simple to use, easy to adopt, and built to scale.

A career built around
making complex things clear.

What changes

EdTech trends become real product decisions. Complex publishing operations become fast, accurate, and built to scale.

2022–2023
Publishing Manager · Every Child Grows · Feb 2022–Sept 2023

Shipping a new instructional product, content by content.

I managed a content team through the full timeline to launch a new product, building interactive, standards-based math content for grades 2–5 — designing whole-class and 1:1 device experiences with real-time data alongside our developers.

The scale

Grades 2–5 math content
Whole-class + 1:1 instruction
Real-time data integration

The work

Instructional prototyping
Standards & released-item research
Content revision for accuracy & grade level

The throughline

Turn a product roadmap into content that's actually ready to teach with, on time.

2016–2022
Gifted & Talented Coordinator, Math Teacher & Dean of Culture · Roaring Fork School District & Riverview School

Six years in the classroom before I ever wrote a line of code.

I worked directly with students and teachers as a Gifted & Talented Coordinator and math teacher, and concurrently as Dean of Culture at Riverview School — before moving into EdTech publishing full-time.

Roles

Gifted & Talented Coordinator
Math teacher, grades 3–8
Dean of Culture
Summer program manager

What I built

Advanced Learning Plans
Behavior & MTSS systems
Small-group interventions
Teacher professional development

What it taught me

How real people learn, what motivates them, and why clarity and empathy belong in every product I build.

Not just where I worked.
What I moved forward.

The role matters. The contribution matters more.

What I built
at ClearK12.

Four platforms, each solving a different problem for teachers, students, and the sales team supporting them.

EdTech platform

Crystal Instruction

The instructional response partner for the classroom. I designed and built TEKS-aligned interactive lessons and self-grading worksheets, then grew the platform into a full instructional response system.

T-TESS & TIA support platform

I single-handedly built and coded a platform within our system to support teachers through T-TESS and TIA, automatically collecting evidence for them as they teach.

Real-time AI instructional support

An integrated AI layer that supports instruction while it's happening — surfacing common misconceptions and offering "teach this in 5 ways" alternatives on the spot.

Next-action teacher dashboard

Designed and developed to focus on what to do next with the data in front of them — launch a small group lesson, run a competition, or assign independent practice.

TEKS-aligned fluency games

Retro, 8-bit style fluency games students can play throughout our platforms and programs.

Play Punctuation Quest ↗ (opens in new tab)

ClassCade Showdown question builder

I increased content-team efficiency by coding a builder that uses a template and Lead4Ward questions to generate over 100 questions in 15 minutes.

Writing program

LoneStar CR Writing Program

A full-scale writing development program. I supported the development of the AI rubric grading and alignment behind the scenes, plus the platforms students and teachers use every day.

Luna's Writing Nook

A 3-level, 6-module independent writing instruction platform students work through to gain real writing practice.

Crystal Writing Dashboard

A student dashboard that supports writing practice and skill development — it shifts daily to surface each student's priority tasks and keep them engaged.

AI rubric grading & alignment

I supported development of the AI grading engine, aligning rubric scoring across the writing program so feedback stays consistent at scale.

Internal platform

Sales Hub & HQ

As our team grew and shifted between projects, I built the internal systems to keep everyone aligned — from brand and messaging to the day-to-day cadence of working a pipeline.

Sales Hub

I single-handedly built our sales hub dashboard for branding, messaging, and alignment — the source of truth as people shift between projects or join the team.

Sales HQ cadence engine

I developed and coded a cadence schedule for reps to work through, automatically surfacing what to do next to keep leads warm and move them through the pipeline.

Internal tool

Standards Alignment Platform

I built and coded a platform that automatically aligns standards from one state to another, building on content we already have and streamlining how fast we can develop for a new state.

Cross-state standards mapping

The platform maps standards from a state we've already built content for onto a new state's standards, surfacing the closest existing matches automatically.

Built to streamline development

Instead of starting from scratch for every new state, our content team builds on what already exists — cutting development time significantly for each expansion.
